BBNBA: DeMarcus Cousins and Tyrese Maxey take losses

Very, very brief NBA recap for you guys today. The only two ‘Cats in action on Thursday night were DeMarcus Cousins and Tyrese Maxey as the Nuggets and 76ers fell on their home courts.
The 76ers welcomed the Brooklyn Nets for the first bout between the two since the blockbuster trade that sent James Harden to Philly and Ben Simmons to the Big Apple. The Nets came out and hammered the Sixers with their new Big Three. Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Seth Curry combined to shoot 28-48 from the field for 71 points as Brooklyn cruised to a 129-100 win and revenge against Harden.
Tyrese Maxey picked a poor night to have his worst game of the season. Maxey recorded his lowest scoring output of the 2021-22 season with just four points as his team got spanked.
Denver Nuggets center DeMarcus Cousins didn’t set the world on fire with his performance, either. But Boogie made three of his six shots for nine points along with three rebounds, one steal and one driving slam dunk in a loss at home to Golden State.

Since arriving in Denver, Cousins is averaging 8.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and is shooting 35.3% from three. A very serviceable backup to Nikola Jokić so far.
Well, that’s all I’ve got for today. Check back tomorrow for a much more interesting recap of today’s games.
