BBNFL: Week 11 Preview

by:Hayden Hooper11/17/19

@Jaguars

Good morning BBN! What a win for the program yesterday to get the fifth win of the season. Just one more until four straight bowl games! Today, the NFL is back and moving again as normal and with Tennessee and Green Bay having a bye week. However, there aren’t a lot of games to watch with former Cats on the gridiron today. Let’s get started with what is going on around the league with former Kentucky alums.

Josh Allen

The biggest game of the day is happening in t-minus 2 hours for any Cat today on the NFL slate. A lot is happening in Indianapolis for the AFC South battle when the Colts and the Jaguars get together. First, both starting quarterbacks are back for this week as Nick Foles and Jacoby Brissett are ready to go for today. Especially for Foles, as he is coming off a massive injury that has really ruined his Jaguar debut season. Today, everything changes as this can start momentum after a bye week for Jacksonville to start their second half of the season. In his young career, Allen is getting a taste of what a huge divisional game looks like.

For my own sake, Allen, please do not hurt Brissett. I cannot stand seeing Brian Hoyer in the game. I’ve been dreading this as a Colts fan since the beginning of the year.

Danny Trevathan

(Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Last week, Trevathan had a huge scare. Your elbow isn’t supposed to bend that way.

Just like we all expected, Trevathan is not suiting up for the Bears and he didn’t even make the trip.

Unfortunately, the Bears are on primetime tonight – an opportunity missed on the big stage. However, some good news cannot be overlooked. Chicago Sun-Times beat writer for the Bears, Jason Lieser, reports that the Bears have not placed Trevathan on IR. Maybe this a good sign for the weeks to come. Trevathan has a lot of work to do to get back on that field this season.

Last thing for today as a side note, the Texans go up against Lamar Jackson. Meaning Lonnie Johnson gets to play Jackson again. Something I know that they are really getting ready for. For Cats fans, it would be sweet to see a pick from Johnson today!

So, today is a kick back and relax day for Cats fans. Have fun watching the Cats as you get ready for the week. Go Big Blue!
