Well the season is on the line tonight for Ricky P and his band of Cardinals as they play the Pitt Panthers in the first round of the Big East Tournament.  While it is very likely that there is little UL can do to make the NCAA tournament, a win here and a win against West Virginia tomorrow night would at least get the conversation started.  Lose tonight and its NIT or nothing.

When you watch this game tonight, see how much better Pitino's teams play without an inside leader.  I have always contended that with David Padgett on the team (a great talent), UL and Rick dont get to play like they want and they have to settle more in the half court.  Rick needs Ellis Myles types and with Padgett hurt, that is what they are having to do.

I think Pitt will win, but dont be surprised if the Cards pull off a stunner.
