After three weeks away from Kroger Field, Kentucky is back home this weekend for an important battle against the Tennessee Volunteers. A win for the Wildcats would put them at 7-2 on the season and in prime position to win out the rest of the schedule. Dreams of a big bowl game are very much alive, folks.

But off the field, Saturday is going to be important for Kentucky when it comes to a big batch of recruits in the stands. From veteran high school seniors to eager freshman, Kroger Field will host a slew of need-to-know prospects. Some are committed to Kentucky, some are in the transfer portal, and some are still considering the ‘Cats. Let’s dive into the list of visitors in Lexington this weekend, starting with a high-profile transfer.

Taj Harris, junior transfer WR from Syracuse: 6-2, 170 pounds (Beverley, NJ)

One of the greatest pass-catchers in Syracuse history has put his name in the transfer portal and Kentucky will have its shot to impress him on Staurday. Taj harris caught 135 balls with the Orange for 1,857 yards and 10 touchdowns. He would bring a big boost to the Kentucky offense next season, especially if Wan’Dale Robinson leaves for the NFL Draft.

Class of 2022

Kiyaunta Goodwin, 5-star OT: 6-8, 325 pounds (Charlestown, IN)Kentucky commit

  • Following his much talked about visits to Alabama and Michigan State, Kiyaunta Goodwin will be back in Lexington once again on Saturday. For those keeping track at home (I sure am), this will be the sixth Kentucky home game of the year that the Wildcat commit has attended. The visit did get switched up from an official to an unofficial, but there’s nothing to read into there. He remains a firm lock with UK.

Aamil Wagner, 4-star OT: 6-6, 265 pounds (Dayton, OH)

  • Aamil Wagner is one of a handful of recruits that are of immediate importance. And with his commitment date coming up on Nov. 11, the timing of this visit sure does stoke some optimism. Wagner is down to Kentucky, Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State, and Maryland. He’s been trending toward UK for a while now and I would expect the visit this weekend to cement his status as a future Wildcat.

Joshua Josephs, 4-star LB: 6-3, 210 pounds (Kennesaw, GA)

  • Arguably the next biggest uncommitted recruit in town is Joshua Josephs, who has been on the Kentucky radar for a while now. He’s felt like a Michigan lean for most of his recruitment, but UK has always been in the mix. Getting him on campus is a sign that the tides could be turning.

Ja’Kobi Albert, 4-star ATH: 5-11, 175 pounds (Fairfield, AL)Auburn commit

  • He’s currently an Auburn commit, but Kentucky has been trying to flip Ja’Kobi Albert ever since he pledged to the Tigers. Albert will join two of his Fairfield Preperatory School teammates in Lexington, as well: 2023 DL Adrian Griffin and 2024 QB Eric Handley.

Elijah Reed, 3-star CB: 6-3, 180 pounds (Louisville, KY)

  • Using an official visit this weekend, Elijah Reed has been rising up Kentucky’s board. He will also visit Utah on Nov. 20. However, Reed lists the in-state Wildcats as the team to beat on his list. Michigan is another school that has stepped up its recruitment, and a Nov. 27 visit is on the schedule. The Wolverines have yet to offer Reed.

Zeke Long, NR WR: 6-0, 175 pounds (McKinney, TX)

Class of 2023

Cristian Conyer, 4-star ATH: 6-1, 170 pounds (Bowling Green, KY)

  • One of the best players in the state of Kentucky, Cristian Conyer will be in Lexington on Saturday. It won’t be his first trip to Lexington this season, either. The rising four-star is being heavily recruited by Vince Marrow and Kentucky appears to be the early leader.

Ty Bryant, 3-star ATH: 6-0, 175 pounds (Lexington, KY) Kentucky commit

Kaden Moorman, 3-star RB: 5-10, 205 pounds (Frankfort, KY) – Kentucky commit

Tanner Lemaster, 3-star TE: 6-6, 235 pounds (Washington Court House, OH)

Adrian Griffin, NR DL: 6-4, 260 pounds (Fairfield, AL)

Grayson Loftis, NR QB: 6-2, 205 pounds (Greer, SC)

Malachi Wood, NR OT: 6-8, 290 pounds (Richmond, KY)

Luke Pendergrass, NR LB: 5-8, 205 pounds (Decatur, TN)

Class of 2024 and beyond

Eric Handley, NR QB: 6-2, 180 pounds (Fairfield, AL)

Hayes Johnson, NR OT: 6-5, 295 pounds (Campbellsville, KY)

Cutter Boley, NR QB: 6-6, 195 pounds (Hodgenville, KY)

Amir Leonard-Jean Charles (2025), NR OL: 6-3, 270 pounds (Nashville, TN)

Markeis Barrett Jr. (2025), NR ATH: 6-0, 160 pounds (Knoxville, TN)
