Bobby Perry is starting to shed the tagline of former Kentucky basketball player Bobby Perry. Instead he is now known as a key member in the Bobby Perry Band, a country band that plays throughout Kentucky.
Mark Story of the Herald Leader sat down with Perry and discussed his transition into country music, something he never listened to or was into at all before playing in the band.
Perry plays the piano in the Bobby Perry Band, which isn't shocking when you find out he took lessons for classical piano at the age of four. It's an interesting read on a guy who played all four years at Kentucky, including how the band formed thanks to the 2007 football game against Louisville.
