Not only is Seneca Driver the top-ranked high school junior from the state of Kentucky, but he’s also widely considered to be one of the best overall talents in the entire country.

The 6-foot-7 tight end out of Boyle County announced an offer from Arkansas earlier this month. It’s the 39th scholarship he’s earned from a Division I program before even reaching his final year of high school. Pick a powerhouse football school from anywhere in the country, and it’s likely Driver holds an offer from them. Eastern Kentucky was his very first one, which he received in October 2022. The Kentucky Wildcats were the second to reach out in February 2024.

The offers have not stopped coming in since then.

Kentucky’s former associate head coach, Vince Marrow, was the one who initially formed a relationship with Driver. Now at Louisville, Marrow is doing the same for the Cardinals. But the Wildcats continue to stay in Driver’s ear. Head coach Mark Stoops was in Boyle County on Friday and new tight ends coach Derek Shay was at Driver’s game the following night for the KSR Game of the Week.

(Kentucky is) still talking to me,” Driver told KSR after Boyle County’s 21-20 win over Highlands. “(Stoops) had a meeting with my mom, I think.”

Driver did not go into great detail on his recruiting status, but did mention Miami (FL), Penn State, and Notre Dame as schools he’s hearing consistently from before adding that “basically every school is still talking to me.” Driver said he’s planning to visit Oklahoma next weekend when the Sooners host Auburn on Sept. 20. A trip to Penn State (Sept. 27) is also on the docket. He most recently visited UK back in the spring, but as of right now, he does not have a scheduled return date to Lexington yet.

There is still a long way to go in Driver’s recruitment. And while Kentucky remains in the mix, the competition will be stiff. He’s ranked No. 73 overall in the 2027 class by the Rivals Industry Ranking for a reason. Those talents were put on display a few days ago at Rebel Stadium. Driver sprinted up the field for an 84-yard touchdown and hauled in an interception during Boyle County’s huge win.
