Brad Calipari Didn't Ask for his Parents' Permission to Get a Tattoo

by: Nick Roush11/10/16@RoushKSR
brad-tattoo Before starting his college career at the University of Kentucky, Brad Calipari decided it was time for his first tattoo.  When he came to campus, "Earned Not Given" was imprinted in ink across his chest. Brad took a bold approach: he didn't tell his parents about the tattoo until after it was completed. "He went for the 'let's see if I can get forgiveness, not permission.'  I thought he was kidding," Ellen Calipari said in an interview with Jennifer Palumbo.  "It was a surprise." "Boy did I get an earful on that one, cause I didn't know either," John Calipari said. Coach Cal doesn't seem too opposed to tattoos, so long as they are not visible when trying to apply for a job. "Now when you make it, you can tattoo your eyes shut." His wife's face during part two of the interview tells me she disagrees with this belief. screen-shot-2016-11-09-at-7-47-15-pm
