Kentucky football paused spring camp for spring break last week, but the coaching staff remained hard at work. Recruiting never stops in college football as the Wildcats are looking to build their 2024 class.

As March comes to an end, the next few weeks will serve as an important time to get some late unofficial visits done before the official visit season begins in June. With two commits in the fold — Hayes Johnson and Aba Selm — Kentucky is looking to build some momentum by getting prospects on campus during spring practice.

On Monday, UK hosted a big visitor.

Austintown (Ohio) Fitch rising junior Brian Robinson is a top-150 prospect in On3’s Industry Rankings in the class of 2024. The EDGE prospect has now made three trips to Lexington in the last nine months including a camp appearance back in June. Vince Marrow has Kentucky firmly in the hunt for the top-five prospect in Ohio.

Robinson has had a busy March as the four-star recruit has made trips to Michigan, Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Kentucky. The outside linebacker has made multiple visits to each of these programs as this recruitment heats up. However, the Wildcats have made an impression on the recruit from the Youngstown suburbs.

I remember it like yesterday,” Robinson recalled in a conversation with KSR after he camped in Lexington this summer. “I was amazed because, of course Kentucky was one of my favorite schools. It helps with the hometown ties with Coach Marrow, the Stoops brothers, Lynn Bowden. My coach really likes the school also. It was amazing.”

Now Kentucky will be looking to get an official visit locked in with Robinson over the summer. Recruiting truly never stops.
