BTI's Rants and Ramblings: Who are the best NAMES in UK History?

by: Bryan1302/26/14
Name this player This may have gone past your radar but Les Miles stooped to a new low in football recruiting this week when he took the comittment of 8TH-GRADER Zadock Dinkelmann, a quarterback from Texas.  Dinkelmann has yet to take a single snap in varsity football, but already stands at 6-4 and 190 pounds, and has been just destroying 8th graders all around Texas.  I say that sarcastically. But that is not what this post is about.  You have to love the name ZADOCK DINKELMANN.  But what about here at Kentucky?  What are our favorite names that have worn the blue and white?  I went through the rosters and just jotted down some of my favorite.  You add on to the list and give me the reasons why: SAM MALONE: Hey Norm! MATT SCHERBENSKE: Did anybody remember he played at Oak Hill?  Me neither. LUKASZ OBRZUT: Or do we just go with Woo?  Either way, he makes the list. HESHIMU EVANS: Maybe my favorite first name in my lifetime. TODD SVOBODA: Not many last names start with S-V, but we've got one DIRK MINNIFIELD: Was the greatest Dirk until the NBA started allowing foreigners into the game STEVE PENHORWOOD (1970-71): The greatest 0-point scorer in UK history PHIL ARGENTO: Makes being named after a cheese look so so good GEORGE CRITZ and LARRY LENTZ (1963-64): Everybody remembers the classic Critz-Lentz combo, right? DOUG PENDYGRAFT: Anything after the word "pendy" is just bonus.  Pendyvomit, whatever. HERKY RUPP: Heshimu wins first name in my lifetime.  Herky wins it before my lifetime. LINCOLN COLLINSWORTH: If he wasn't bathing in gold coins, then nobody is LOU TSIOROPOULOS: The best named of a retired jersey in UK history Who am I missing?
