Buster Douglas is helping Kentucky prepare for No. 1 Georgia

Tomorrow, Kentucky hosts No. 1 Georgia at Kroger Field. The game doesn’t hold quite the same luster as it did a few months ago, but the opportunity to shock the world remains. Today, the staff brought in a very special guest to prepare the Cats for battle: Buster Douglas. In 1990, Douglas knocked off Mike Tyson to win the world heavyweight title in what is considered the biggest upset in boxing history.
Coming into the match, Tyson was the undefeated, undisputed heavyweight champion, holding the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles. Douglas was a 42-1 underdog. Even with the odds stacked against him, Douglas knocked out Tyson in the 10th round. Who better to prepare Kentucky, a 22.5-point underdog, for tomorrow’s game than him?

Josh Allen back in Lexington
There’s another celebrity in town this week, albeit a much more familiar one. With the Jaguars on bye, Josh Allen and his family are back in town and stopped by the Nutter Fieldhouse.
Kentucky lost to No. 6 Georgia 34-17 in Allen’s final year as a Wildcat. Maybe pep talks from both him and Buster Douglas are exactly what the Cats need to slay Goliath tomorrow.
