Calipari's Crazy Idea for the SEC Tournament

john-calipari1 John Calipari has always pushed the boundaries, creating critics along the way.  His newest idea is one that only he could come up with. According to Jon Solomon of CBS, at the SEC Meetings in Destin Coach Cal proposed that instead of a postseason SEC Tournament, they make it a preseason tournament.  There is some logic behind the crazy idea.  Since the tournament doesn't affect seeding for the NCAA Tournament, you can promote the conference if you play it early in the year. Unsurprisingly, it didn't go over well with the other coaches.  But is it feasible?  It would be difficult to create excitement from SEC schools during college football season, but I think it's safe to say that Kentucky fans will show up in Nashville no matter when the tournament is being played.
