Kentucky has recently started to get involved with 2026 five-star forward Cam Williams. Now, things are moving fast.

The 6-foot-11, 200-pound power forward from St Mary’s (Phoenix, AZ) told KSR+ that he received an offer from Kentucky during a call with Mark Pope and Jason Hart on Wednesday night. He also scheduled an official visit to Kentucky from September 26-28.

“It was good. Mark [Pope] was trying to get to know my parents,” Williams said. “He was telling us how I’d fit into the program and all of that stuff. He was telling me about the history.”

Williams said that he’s been talking to Jason Hart for about two weeks. Then, Mark Pope “FaceTimed me out of nowhere last week, and we’ve been talking ever since.”

“I like how they put guys in the league,” Williams said. “They have a lot of big names who are playing currently, like SGA, KAT, and AD. They have a long list of really good pros. I like how they play as a team. I watched a couple of their games last year. Obviously, they’re one of the top teams. It’s a school I could see myself fitting in at, playing there, and all of that stuff.”

A Busy Upcoming Visit Schedule

Cam Williams is preparing for a busy upcoming visit schedule. He’s set to visit Texas (Sept. 3-5), Purdue (Sept. 12-14), Kentucky (Sept. 26-28), Duke (Oct. 3-5), and USC (Oct. 11-12).

“I’m going to be asking questions about how they see me fitting into that situation,” Williams said. “Are they going to get other guys like me? Are they going to go into the portal? My main thing is that I just want to play. I want an opportunity, and I want to get developed to play at the next level.”

Williams said he’s unsure about a commitment date. He is “still thinking” about a timeline.

“I don’t care if it’s far. Whatever is best for me,” Williams said. “I want to go somewhere where I’m going to play and play the way I play, I want to have an impact and go to a winning team, and I just want to get developed and get pushed.”

Cam Williams’ Game

2026 five-star power forward Cam Williams of St. Mary’s (AZ) is ranked by the Rivals Industry Ranking as the No. 9 overall prospect in the nation. Rivals ranks Williams as the No. 3 power forward and the No. 16 overall prospect in the class.

“Right now, I’d say my shooting, my defensive versatility, and my rebounding [are my greatest strengths],” Williams said.
