Cameron and Cayden Boozer rock Kentucky blue on official visit to Lexington

Cameron and Cayden Boozer, two top-15 recruits in the junior class, have officially wrapped up their official visit to Kentucky. Arriving Friday, the twin brothers spent the weekend with their mother in Lexington before departing Sunday.

At the conclusion of the trip, Cayden shared photos of the five-star duo with Mom on his Instagram page.

“BBN, how we feeling?” the standout guard wrote.

It was the first official visit for the twin sons of former Duke star Carlos Boozer.

Cameron Boozer, a 6-9, 205-pound power forward, is rated as the No. 1 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. Cayden, standing 6-3, 190 pounds, comes in at No. 15 overall and No. 3 among point guards. The duo is out of Miami, FL, suiting up for Christopher Columbus High School.

Kentucky making a push

What do the Boozer brothers think of John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats?

“Obviously it’s a great program all-time, always have great players and successful players in the NBA. It’s a good school that knows how to develop their players for the next level,” Cameron told KSR in July.

“It was great (receiving an offer). I’ve been watching Kentucky since I was young,” Cayden added. “They’re always in the tournament. Having a school like Kentucky offer me, a school that’s a winning program, it’s a great feeling for sure.”

The Boozers earned scholarship offers from Kentucky back in May, the Wildcats joining the likes of Duke, North Carolina, Miami (FL) and Florida to do so. They are scheduled to visit Gainesville in November, the only other official publicly announced at this point.

A package deal?

We all know the connection with Dad, a star for the Blue Devils from 1999-2002. Many blindly connect the Boozer twins with Duke without context, assuming they both want to follow in his footsteps. They disagree — this official visit to Kentucky being one of many examples pointing to Cameron and Cayden being wide open in their respective recruitments.

They haven’t even ruled out the possibility of signing with different programs. It just depends on the fit and where they feel comfortable, whether that’s together or separately.

“I don’t have to stress it (with schools recruiting me), it’s a known thing (I’m wide open),” Cameron told KSR. “Whatever school wants me and pushes for me, if I see a good fit, that’s where I’m going to go.”

“It would be a blessing to go with him,” Cayden said of playing in college with Cam. “It could happen, but I’m not really sure if it’s going to happen. We’ve got to see if it’s the best fit for both of us.”

An official to Lexington was certainly a step in the right direction.
