Cason Wallace, Chris Livingston thrive as McDonald's All-Americans

Five-star signees Cason Wallace and Chris Livingston represented the University of Kentucky well at the McDonald’s All-American Games, stuffing the box score with well-rounded efforts in Tuesday evening’s prestigious event.
Livingston finished in double figures, putting up 13 points on 5-9 shooting and 2-4 from three to go with six rebounds, five assists and one block. He came up short at the free-throw line, though, making just one of seven attempts.

“It’s been a dream come true,” Livingston said of being a McDonald’s All-American.
Wallace added seven points on 3-10 shooting and 1-2 from three to go with six assists, five rebounds and one steal.
“It means everything to me. It’s something I’ve dreamed about my whole life,” Wallace added. “My cousin made me write down goals that I wanted and that was the first thing I wrote down, so being able to be here and play and show everybody what I’m capable of is a very special moment for me.”

Livingston’s East squad took home the victory in the head-to-head matchup, defeating the West 105-81.
Beyond the future Wildcats, Duke signee Dariq Whitehead earned MVP honors, finishing with 13 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, while future Blue Devils Mark Mitchell and Dereck Lively II also added 19 points and 10 points, respectively.
Villanova signee Cam Whitmore finished with 19 points and eight rebounds to lead the East.
Keyonte George (Baylor) also added 13 points, followed by Jarace Walker (Houston) with 11 points and seven rebounds, and Amari Bailey (UCLA) with 10 points and six rebounds.
