Cats Give it Up to Georgia 24-13

by:Matt Jones11/17/07
aaa That was one tough to watch. After starting the game off with a bang and putting forth a huge defensive effort to give the team a chance to win, the Kentucky offense went south and the Cats were defeated 24-13 down in Athens. The Cats created turnovers and got some big stops, but when it mattered on 3rd and 4th down, the offense simply wasnt there. Lots of breakdowns on the offensive line, but also an uncharacteristically poor performance by Andre Woodson, including the taking of a 20 yard sack that took the Cats out of field goal position and essentially spelled the end of their chance at winning the game. A tough loss to take as in the end, it was winnable. More later on the game and Leonard Washington, the hottest new/old name in basketball recruiting
