One week down, two more to go in the NFL’s new-and-improved preseason schedule. Instead of four games – previously a quarter of an entire regular season – the league has transitioned to a three-week preseason followed by an 18-week regular season. Three preseason games, 17 regular-season games, then playoff action.

Fewer preseason games create fewer live opportunities to shine for players looking to move up the depth chart or earn a roster spot. Every game counts, especially for a long list of former Kentucky Wildcats hoping to make their NFL dreams come true (or continue).

Over 20 former UK standouts will be in action over the course of the weekend, with a strong number of games on national television starting tonight through Monday.
