It will be a few more hours before Kentucky officially finds out its bowl game destination, but the top 4 teams in the College Football Playoff have already been announced. And there weren't any surprises from the selection committee this year. Leading the pack is the LSU Tigers (13-0), who are coming off a 37-10 trouncing of the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship, who were knocked out of the playoff race with the loss. LSU will face the No. 4 seeded Oklahoma Sooners (12-1), who snuck in as the final team after a close overtime win over Baylor in the Big 12 Championship. https://twitter.com/CFBPlayoff/status/1203727587513683968 Joining those two will be a pair of undefeated squads, Clemson and Ohio State, who are both 13-0 and coming off impressive wins in its respective Conference Championships. The Tigers and Buckeyes will go head-to-head on Dec. 28 in what will be known as the Peach Bowl while the Tigers-Sooners matchup will be tabbed as the Fiesta Bowl on the same day. The Peach Bowl will take place in Atlanta, GA with the Fiesta Bowl kicking off down in Glendale, AZ. The winner of the semifinal games will meet two weeks later on Jan. 13 in New Orleans for a chance to be crowned the National Champion. Ohio State has opened as the early favorite according to ESPN's Football Power Index, who is projecting a 35 percent chance for the Buckeyes to take home its ninth national title. Behind OSU is LSU with 29 percent, followed by 28 for Clemson, and just nine percent for Oklahoma. Clemson enters the playoff as the defending champs after taking down Alabama in 2018. The Tigers also won the whole thing in 2016, as well. This is the first year in the short history of the Playoff system where all four teams are from Power-5 conferences.
