Chris Oats has a brand new ride thanks to the BBN
Kentucky linebacker Chris Oats received a big pick me up from the BBN this week. Thanks to the fundraising efforts by Kentucky football fans, the UK linebacker has a new, state of the art handicap accessible van to help him get to rehab and Wildcat home games at Kroger Field.
Oats suffered a stroke more than a year ago in the spring of 2020. To help get him back on his feet, Oats’ teammates started a GoFundMe page. This fall more than $150,000 was raised to get him and his family a new vehicle. As he continues to improve, the vehicle will adapt with him, ultimately enabling him to drive and live a more independent life.
