Christian Collins, the nation’s No. 3-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, has scheduled a visit to Kentucky. Collins will take an official visit to UK on October 12, he told KSR+.

The 6-foot-8, 200-pound power forward from St. John Bosco (Playa Del Rey, CA) will take his first official visit to USC on August 30. Collins sat down with KSR+ for an interview, sharing his thoughts on Kentucky.

“[Jason Hart] just got off the phone with me earlier,” Collins said. “He’s been saying to play hard with a high motor, like I’ve been playing.”

‘Mark Pope is Like a Proud Dad’

Christian Collins was coached by Kentucky head coach Mark Pope during the recent USA Basketball trials in Colorado Springs. His relationship with Jason Hart spans back to his freshman year.

“[Mark Pope] is like a proud dad,” Collins said. “He’ll be recording you and he’s cheering for you. He’s a really good guy. He has nice energy. He’s really positive.”

Collins is also hearing from the likes of Oregon, Duke, Arizona, and Cal. He hasn’t scheduled any other visits.

“[I’m looking for] somewhere I can really develop,” Collins said. “I want to be one-and-done, but if that’s not the case, then two-and-done or three-and-done. I want to be somewhere that feels like a family like Team WhyNot. Somewhere I can really improve.”

Christian Collins’ Game

St. John Bosco (California) five-star forward Christian Collins is the nation’s No. 3 overall prospect according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. Rivals ranks Collins as the No. 2 small forward and the No. 3 overall prospect in the 2026 class.

“My greatest strengths are my versatility, my strength for my height, my shooting ability, and my rebounding,” Collins said.

Collins noted his inconsistency during Nike EYBL’s Peach Jam. However, he showed flashes of being one of the nation’s best.

“I feel like I’ve been consistent at times and at other times inconsistent,” he said. “As a team, as a whole, we’ve been playing as a family. We’ve been playing really well together.”
