Collins No. 10, Hopkins No. 39 in final 247Sports Player Rankings
Kentucky finished with two top-40 players in the final 247Sports Player Rankings released Wednesday, including one top-10 signee in five-star forward Daimion Collins.
Coming in at No. 10 overall in the final rankings, Collins gives UK head coach John Calipari his 13th consecutive signing class with a top-10 prospect dating back to his first season in Lexington. He finished as the No. 3 power forward in the class behind only Paolo Banchero (No. 2) and Jabari Smith (No. 4).
Four-star signee Bryce Hopkins also came in at No. 39 overall, good for No. 8 in the class at the power forward position.
Outside of current signees, UK point guard target TyTy Washington made the largest jump among five-star prospects, leaping from No. 33 overall to No. 16. With the update, Washington is now considered the No. 3 overall point guard in the class of 2021, behind only Kennedy Chandler (No. 8) and JD Davison (No. 13).
Washington, who was previously committed to Creighton, is down to Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, LSU and Oregon and will announce his decision on May 15.
Jaden Hardy, who is also still technically considering Kentucky and is set to announce his decision in the next two weeks, came in at No. 3 overall and the No. 1 guard in the class. There are currently six Crystal Ball picks in for Hardy, all predicting him to play professionally this year. Four of those picks are high-confidence predictions.
