How will Cutter Boley handle his first SEC start at Kentucky? It’s not going to be easy, the Wildcats traveling down to Columbia to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks inside one of the toughest night environments in football, Williams-Brice Stadium. Between the lights and Sandstorm with fans going crazy, Mark Stoops‘ group will have to be prepared — especially with Shane Beamer‘s squad going from College Football Playoff darkhorse to winless in the league with a juggernaut of a schedule ahead, bowl eligibility no longer a guarantee.

It’s a must-win for both sides, and that’s good for all fans of college football, even if it’s a little stressful for the Wildcat and Gamecock faithful. Maybe the hype video can alleviate some of those nerves? It certainly has me pumped up after watching it.

“Going on the road in the SEC, playing at night, is never easy,” Stoops says in the video. “It’s going to be a great challenge, what a great atmosphere. It’s always a real challenge and our team will be prepared, ready to go.”

We get a look at the hostile environment Kentucky will be walking into, along with some of the top highlights of the season up to this point — and a whole bunch of Cutter Boley, specifically in his big performance in the Eastern Michigan win.

Take a look and find the nearest brick wall to run through:

The Wildcats will certainly look the part down in Columbia, if you need any added motivation, rocking the icy whites with white helmet, jersey and pants. It’s the same combination Kentucky used in the 16-10 victory in 2021 and Stephen Johnson’s tongue-out game back in 2017, a 23-13 win for the Cats.

Can we repeat history?

While you’re at it, prepare for the matchup with some of KSR’s other pregame content — namely episodes of the KSR Football Podcast and 11 Personnel. It’s perfect to listen to on your last day of work before a jam-packed sports weekend, headlined by the Cats and Cocks at WBS.
