One of Kentucky’s most popular music festivals will take a hiatus in 2020. Festival coordinators announced Thursday morning that Forecastle Festival will be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“While we are disappointed to share this news, the health and safety of our fans, artists, staff, and community are always our number one priority,” organizers said in a statement. “Although the 18th edition of the event will not continue as planned, rest assured Forecastle will return stronger than ever in 2021.”

All tickets will be refunded. Purchasers will receive an e-mail detailing exactly when and how they will be reimbursed. Jack Johnson, Cage the Elephant and The 1975 were set to headline this year’s event at Waterfront Park.
