Whenever Kentucky travels to Nashville one thing is for certain, Big Blue Nation will follow. The fans in attendance got to witness the greatness that is Benny Snell and a big bounce back performance by the UK defense. They accounted for four interceptions when Vanderbilt quarterback Kyle Shurmur had thrown three picks all season. The Kentucky defense also finished the game with five sacks. Kentucky football moved to 7-3 on the season and now has four SEC wins in back-to-back seasons. Let's look back at some fantastic game photos courtesy of KSR photographer, Dr. Michael Huang: We certainly have to talk further about Benny Snell. Early in the game, the sophomore running back became the first player in school history to rush for at least 1,000 yards in consecutive seasons. He was over 100 yards at halftime, and finished the game with 116 yards and three touchdowns. Further, Snell also set a new school record for most career rushing touchdowns. It's also important to give a huge shout out to the UK offensive line. Snell wasn't the only Kentucky running back shining on the field against Vanderbilt. Fellow running back Sihiem King had a big game as well with 15 rushes for 69 yards, and two touchdowns. Having redshirt freshman Drake Jackson at center the past few games has led to a dramatic improvement and in turn led to these big rushing performances. Freshman Lynn Bowden continues to show why he is a special talent. Every time he touches the ball you feel there's a chance something electric could happen. He finished the day with 192 all-purpose yards, including a 35-yard catch and a 93-yard kickoff return. Next up for Kentucky is a trip to Athens to face an angry Georgia team followed by a regular season finale at home against the Louisville Cardinals.
