The loss to Ole Miss Saturday was heartbreaking and disappointing. Kentucky football entered the game at 6-2 with plenty of great opportunities ahead for a historical season. UK had a 10-point lead at one point but had too many missed opportunities in the third quarter to put the game away. Despite Ole Miss getting 10 unanswered points, Kentucky was still able to regain the lead with two minutes to go mainly riding the back of Benny Snell. But Ole Miss marched right back down the field for the game-winner with five seconds remaining in the game. Heartbreaker. Ball game. We have to talk about #26. Benny Snell deserved the win after another 100+ yard rushing game. The sophomore put the team on his back late in the game to help Kentucky regain the lead. Heartbreaking not to get the win for Snell. The sophomore finished with 176-yards and 3 touchdowns. Snell is now the SEC's leading rusher.

Quarterback Stephen Johnson started the game completing an amazing 15/16 passes in the first half. Unfortunately there were some misses in that third quarter stretch but also some suspect play-calling. The senior finished 19/24, 204-yards, with 1 touchdown.

We saw the return of C.J. Conrad in the scoring column. UK started the second half strong. After only four plays, Conrad went 46 yards for a touchdown that gave Kentucky a ten-point lead. The junior from Ohio finished the game with 5 catches for 75-yards and a touchdown.

So was this a fumble? Kroger Field erupted after the ball came loose. Then major disappointment set in as the officials overturned the call. We all know what happened next.
