Craig Skinner is asking the BBN to sell out Memorial Coliseum for Kentucky vs. Tennessee

Craig Skinner wants to coach in front of a sea of blue for Sunday’s massive showdown against Tennessee.
The Kentucky volleyball head coach started his Monday press conference with a call to action: sell out Memorial Coliseum. His Wildcats, now ranked No. 2 in the country after sweeping previously undefeated Texas on the road over the weekend, have sights set on a second national championship. That run continues this week with a road match against Missouri, followed by an important home match on Sunday against No. 19 Tennessee.
“I’m gonna talk from the rooftops today,” Skinner said, standing on the press room table. “We have four matches left in the regular season of the SEC: on the road at Missouri on Thursday night, tough match, tough place to play. Tennessee on Sunday, then two more next weekend. We need everybody in the Big Blue Nation to get behind this team. This team is everything that Kentuckians are all about: blue collar, hard work, sacrifice. Their fiber is all about what you guys are.”
UK is asking fans to wear all blue when the orange Volunteers come to Lexington. Tickets, starting as low as $15 for general admission, are available through the link here. Other than having the opportunity to watch the best team on campus in person, Skinner is providing an extra incentive for those who make their way to Memorial this weekend.
“We don’t just need to pack Memorial, we need to sell the thing out on Sunday,” he said. “Watch on Thursday night, sell it out Sunday, next weekend we’re going all in. I’m buying the first 500 blue shirts for Sunday’s match to get people in the stands to make it a blue out.”

Skinner has a group that is more than deserving of a rowdy atmosphere and packed crowd against Tennessee. This will likely be the final ranked opponent the rest of the regular season for Kentucky. The match was originally scheduled for the SEC Network, but it was elevated to ESPN2 and then bumped up again to ESPN. The match will still start at 5:00 p.m. ET.
After beating Texas, Kentucky is now in sole possession of the top spot in the SEC standings at 11-0. A ninth straight conference title is fully in front of them, as is locking up a one-seed in the NCAA Tournament, which ensures homecourt advantage through the Elite 8. UK is now 18-2 on the season and riding a 15-match win streak. The Wildcats’ only losses this season have come against No. 1 Nebraska and No. 3 Pitt.
In short, this is a team that will be one of the few projected to win the national championship once the postseason begins. And you have a chance to see them in person against one of the school’s biggest rivals. Make sure to grab your tickets and sell out Memorial for a title contender.
