Craig Skinner flies a jet to remind BBN to buy tickets for Kentucky VB ahead of Final Four push

Craig Skinner and No. 1 seed Kentucky women’s volleyball are two wins away from returning to the Final Four, set to take on Cal Poly in the Sweet 16 on Thursday with a potential Elite Eight matchup scheduled for Saturday against either No. 2 seed Arizona State or No. 3 seed Creighton.

You may remember Skinner standing on top of a table to open a press conference, begging fans to come and support this title-contending team in person by selling out the Tennessee match at home. Then he went to the rafters of Rupp Arena to do the same before winning the program’s ninth straight SEC championship. That led to the veteran coach making his way up to the highest point in Lexington, atop the Fifth Third Building, to recruit Kentucky fans to the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament at Memorial Coliseum.

Thought he was done with the Regional Semifinals and Finals coming up this week? Think again.

This time, Skinner literally went sky-high to tell BBN to buy tickets for the third and fourth rounds of the NCAA Tournament at Memorial Coliseum — taking a jet up into the clouds to share his message: BUY TICKETS.

“BBN, the tickets are going fast,” Skinner said from thousands of feet in the air with Kenny Loggins’ Danger Zone playing in the background like he’s in Top Gun. “About 48 hours to match time, we need you at Memorial Coliseum at 3:30. You don’t have to be first for your tickets, but don’t be last. Go Cats.”

It’s a video you have to see to believe — then buy tickets to make his efforts worthwhile.

“BBN, I didn’t think we could get any higher, but with great friends and great people, you can do special things,” he said back on land. “Let’s do special things on Thursday at 3:30.”

The Wildcats take on Cal Poly at 3:30 p.m. ET after Arizona State and Creighton face off at 1 p.m. ET at Memorial Coliseum, live on ESPN2. Those winners will face off on Saturday afternoon, live on ESPN, with that winner advancing to the Final Four the following weekend in Kansas City.

All-session tickets and single-session tickets are available now. You heard the man, BBN. Buy them quickly and support these Cats.

There is a very real chance they go all the way (again).
