It’s easy to tell which college team Cutter Boley was cheering for growing up in Hodgenville, KY.

The pictures that came out of the SEC Network’s broadcast this past weekend — showing a young Cutter tailgating outside Commonwealth Stadium and watching games from the stands — were already proof enough, but now we have even more evidence that Kentucky’s quarterback is a lifelong fan of the ‘Cats.

He’s an expert when it comes to the John Wall Dance.

This is the kind of content the Big Blue Nation loves to see. And it just so happens to come out during the middle of Kentucky’s bye week after Boley made his 2025 debut over the weekend in a 48-23 win against Eastern Michigan. Boley threw for 240 yards on 12-21 passing with two touchdowns and no interceptions against the Eagles in place of the injured Zach Calzada.

Will we see Boley take the field again next Saturday when the ‘Cats travel to take on South Carolina? Head coach Mark Stoops wouldn’t say one way or the other during his Wednesday media tour, but he did make sure to send some praise Boley’s way.

“You can see him getting better. Just improving and being more comfortable but I’ve said that all the time,” Stoops said. “I’ve said that after every practice, right? For a young guy, each rep that he takes in a game or in practice he’s getting better. And he’s getting more comfortable.”

We should mention that Eastern Michigan is among the worst teams in all of college football, but Boley’s play also shouldn’t be ignored — it was the program’s best passing performance of the last two years. Will we see Boley John Wall Dancing his way to the starting job the rest of the season?
