De'Aaron Fox discusses draft with Sam Mitchell

UK’s most recent guard in the line of great Coach Cal point guards, De’Aaron Fox, had the chance to sit down and discuss the role of an NBA point guard with former NBA forward Sam Mitchell. Mitchell is currently an NBA analyst for SiriusXM NBA Radio, as well as the head coach of the U.S. Virgin Islands national team. He was the leading scorer in Mercer University history, before playing in the NBA from 1985 to 2002.

We all know Fox’s credentials in his one year in Lexington, but it is cool to hear him discuss how his play will translate to the league with someone who actually had a long and successful career in the NBA.

No knock on any other player the has played for Kentucky in the Coach Cal era, but De’Aaron Fox gives one of the best and well-spoken interviews that I can remember out of a 19 year old kid. No doubt in my mind he has the capability of coming in and being an instant leader on an NBA team full of grown men.

On top of this video, take a look at the Philadelphia 76ers pre-draft workout interview with Fox that was posted today.

Should be interesting to see where Fox gets drafted, because it sounds like the draft order is going to do some changing in the coming days.
