De'Aaron Fox's newest signature shoe colorway is inspired by his time at Kentucky

The newest edition of De’Aaron Fox‘s shoe, the Fox 2, is inspired by his college playing days.
Under Armour’s Curry Brand announced Wednesday the release of the Fox 2: ‘Lexington’, a two-toned black and blue colorway that pays homage to his lone season playing ball for the Kentucky Wildcats in 2016-17. The shoes will officially go on sale this Friday (September 12) with a price point of $120. If you’re a UA Rewards member, you can go ahead and scoop them up right now.
“The ‘Lexington’ colorway pays tribute to his UK roots and that pivotal moment in his journey, launching from Lexington to the League,” Under Armour’s press release stated. The shoe also features Fox’s logo with a black strap across the top, all tied up with blue and white laces.

Fox was originally signed with Nike early on in his NBA career, but he entered into a deal with Curry Brand (launched in partnership with future Hall of Famer Steph Curry) in October 2023 as the first official signature athlete for Under Armour’s new sub-brand. Fox’s debut sneaker, the Fox 1, was released in December 2024. The initial Fox 2 design dropped this past August, but this new colorway is the first to connect with his time at Kentucky.
And for those who don’t already know, Fox now plays for the San Antonio Spurs after a midseason trade in 2024-25 shipped him out of the Sacramento Kings organization, which is where he was taken 5th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft and spent the following 7.5 seasons. He was a one-time All-NBA performer with the Kings, but will now suit up to play alongside Victor Wembanyama in Texas. Fox averaged 19.7 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per outing in 17 games with the Spurs to end last season.
