Keep the NFL additions coming for Mark Stoops and Kentucky football. Two former Wildcats got drafted — both to the Buffalo Bills — starting with Maxwell Hairston in the first round, followed by Deone Walker in the fourth. From there, Zion Childress (Dallas Cowboys), Jamon Dumas-Johnson (Green Bay Packers), Marques Cox (Denver Broncos), Eli Cox (Houston Texans) and Tre’vonn Rybka (Miami Dolphins) all signed deals as undrafted free agents.

Now, we have a few more names coming off the board for the Cats as they push toward their NFL futures — both signing minicamp deals.

The first? Running back Demie Sumo-Karngbaye, who received a training camp invite with the Baltimore Ravens. There, he will join former teammate Devin Leary — who actually came with him to Lexington from NC State — now the third-string quarterback behind Lamar Jackson and Cooper Rush.

Sumo-Karngbaye played in 24 games at Kentucky across two seasons, rushing for 725 yards and six touchdowns on 149 carries to go with 223 yards and a touchdown on 34 catches. He led the team as a senior in 2024 with 586 yards and five touchdowns on 129 carries while adding 154 yards and 20 receptions through the air across eight starts. His 98 yards vs. No. 1 Georgia were the most by a Wildcat against a top-ranked team in program history.

He closed out his career with 1,030 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on 204 carries while adding 371 receiving yards and two touchdowns through the air including his time with Leary at NC State.

Elsewhere, defensive back Kristian Story received a training camp invite with the Atlanta Falcons following his lone season in Lexington.

The 6-1 fifth-year senior transferred to Kentucky after four seasons at Alabama, playing in 51 career games. His 12 games as a Wildcat included 27 tackles, one forced fumble and one interception. That brings his career totals to 51 games, 49 tackles, two pass breakups, two interceptions and a forced fumble including his time as a Crimson Tide.

Story signed with Alabama as a consensus four-star recruit out of Lanett High School (AL).
