One of the physicians for the UK basketball team told the Herald Leader today that
Derrick Jasper may return by late December. That would be a huge development and one that would have extremely positive ramifications for this team. Going back to this summer, privately I was told over and over that people were worried that we wouldnt see Jasper all season. Even as recently as a couple of weeks ago, the best case scenario was said to be late January and early February. If Derrick can somehow make it back by December, it would be an unbelievably quick recovery and one that would immediately make this team much better. I am still somewhat skeptical, but if this news is true (and you would think the team physician would know), then it is very big indeed.
