Derrick Jasper Surgery

by:Matt Jones10/01/07
djas.jpg It had been whispered about for months in the UK circles, but now has come into focus. Matt May of TCP is reporting today that the surgery Derrick Jasper went through earlier this year was of the "microfracture" variety and thus is a bit more of a serious process than some initially believed. Microfracture surgery (aka Amare Stoudamire surgery) can often lead to rehabilitations that may take up to 12-18 months, but the UK folks all continue to say he will be ready for practice. As anyone around UK can attest, Jasper is still limping and all parties agree that when serious play begins, he may not be 100%. Luckily for UK, Jasper is at a position with lots of depth, but it looks as if his rehabilitation will be more difficult than many initially believed.
