According to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com, Diallo will not participate in any 5-on-5 competition during the combine. He'll still participate in individual team workouts, as he continues to test the NBA waters. With the shocking commitment from Kevin Knox yesterday, one has to wonder what impact, if any, that has on Diallo's upcoming decision. Choosing to sit out of 5-on-5 workouts may be to keep his stock where it's at. Many mock drafts have him as a mid-to-late first round pick, based on his age, size, and athleticism alone. There's a possibility to slip out of the first round if teams find him not ready to compete at the pro level. Knox will certainly have his presence felt at UK as small forward. He would likely reduce Diallo's role as a shooting guard, given Knox's ability around the perimeter. Diallo and Knox together would be lethal to opponents, but the question now becomes if Diallo wants to share the spotlight. Don't read too much into this report just yet. Diallo still has two weeks left before a decision must be made.
