Dish, Sling TV Drop ESPN Ahead of Kentucky vs. Ole Miss

If you watch the Wildcats on Dish or Sling TV, you will not be today.
Kentucky kicks off against Ole Miss Saturday at Noon EST on ESPN. Friday night at midnight, ESPN’s contract with Dish and Sling TV expired. Every ESPN network has been removed from Dish and Sling TV.
Sling said in a statement: “Our goal and priority is to reach an agreement with Disney that ensures you get the best possible value from Sling. We are working to bring your channels back as quickly as possible.”

It’s not just ESPN. All Disney channels have been pulled from Dish. “We were not able to reach a mutual renewal agreement with Disney and without a contract in place we are legally required to remove their channels from our service,” Dish said in a statement. “We offered Disney a contract extension to keep working towards an agreement and avoid any interruption to your service, but they refused this offer and walked away from the table.”
If you are a Dish or a Sling TV customer, there are some alternative options. You can find a local watering hole to watch Kentucky vs. Ole Miss. You also could try getting a new TV provider, like YouTubeTV. If worse comes to worst, turn on the radio and listen to Tom Leach and Jeff Piecoro on the UK Sports Network.
