DJ Wagner Update: A "lower extremity injury" and Calipari's postgame comment

Kentucky‘s win over eighth-ranked Miami was loads of fun, but the Wildcats did not escape the inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge without an injury in its starting backcourt.
DJ Wagner, the Wildcats’ five-star freshman point guard, went down with four minutes and 22 seconds to go before halftime. Wagner attempted two free throws before he limped off the court and into the locker room with team trainers. The lip-reading at the foul line was not encouraging.

When the team took the court out of halftime, Wagner was spotted in the team tunnel on an exercise bike, trying to give it a go. However, an official statement from the team was released moments into the second half, announcing Wagner would not return to action.
Officially, it was revealed as a lower extremity injury, per UK Athletics.
John Calipari’s Postgame Update On Wagner
You know how it goes. Calipari didn’t see him after the game.
When asked in the postgame press conference, Calipari only said, “Um, I did not see DJ. But, I think they said his ankle. He just didn’t–he wasn’t going to come back, so we were really short-handed.”
So, we wait until another day or another announcement for further news regarding Wagner’s injury.
