Duke Point Guard Derryck Thornton to Transfer

IPMBEXQKXIKEMJT.20150909164831 For a college basketball story that could develop into the coming weeks, check out the breaking news from ESPN. Thornton was a five-star recruit out of high school; he reclassified last spring to graduate early and step up as the only true point guard on the Blue Devils roster. In his first and only season at Duke, he averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 assists in 26 minutes per game.   How this affects Kentucky: five-star-center-marques-bolden-1 Marques Bolden. The five-star recruit has narrowed his list to Kentucky and Duke. Duke was at their scholarship limit, so there was no space for Bolden on the roster until this move was made. Not saying that he was told to leave by Coach K to make room for the 6'11 center from De Soto, Texas, but it seems to have caught the eye of our fearless leader. I'm sure he'll have something to say about it on the radio tomorrow.
