Duke reportedly opting out of Battle 4 Atlantis to host own event
More bubble talk! With the new college basketball start date (Nov. 25) in hand, teams across the country are frantically building their schedules for the upcoming season. Already today, Louisville announced plans for its own non-conference bubble, and now, there are reports that Duke is going to do the same. According to Matt Norlander, Duke is opting out of the Battle 4 Atlantis (held in South Dakota) to host a multi-team event with a special focus on social justice.
This event is still in the planning stages and subject to change, but if Duke was able to pull it off, it would obviously become one of the biggest nonconference events of the college basketball season.

What will Kentucky do? That Cats are scheduled to play in the Champions Classic (tentatively scheduled for Dec. 1-5) and the Big 12/SEC Challenge (reportedly still scheduled for January). If they choose to host their own non-conference event in Lexington, Jack Pilgrim already came up with the perfect blueprint.
