Former UK forward EJ Montgomery got left behind in the draft process and many wondered if he'd get a shot in the NBA at all. The pandemic set back any plans to prove his worth in workouts, and the draft's prognosticators had little faith in Montgomery in the pre-draft mocks and player rankings. ESPN had him outside of its top 100 prospects going into the draft. But shortly after his name went uncalled in last night's virtual draft, Montgomery received a phone call from the Milwaukee Bucks and he accepted an offer to join the organization. Montgomery announced the news on his Instagram story late last night: "The work has just begun," he says. Good luck to EJ. Go prove everyone wrong.
