Ellis Park officials later confirmed with Eyewitness News that the racehorse is doing “okay” and suffered only minor cuts and scrapes during the escape. The horse managed to make it several miles on the highway before finding the water treatment plant.
No big deal, just a couple-mile jog on the highway. No animals were seriously harmed in the making of this escape.
