Former Kentucky center Enes Kanter has a deal in place to live out his non-basketball dream.
According to Shams Charania of Stadium, the Boston Celtics center has an offer on the table to join the WWE following his NBA career, a deal he plans to accept.
“I am definitely becoming a WWE wrestler. For sure,” Kanter told Stadium. “I already have offers from WWE but I have to finish my basketball career first. But after my career, I’m definitely becoming one.”
Those who followed his time at Kentucky back in 2010-11, along with the rest of his time in the league, are quite familiar with Kanter’s love for wrestling.
We’re all familiar with The UnderKanter’s legendary introduction at Big Blue Madness:
Last June, Kanter was asked about life after basketball, where he definitively said he was considering a move to the WWE after “seven or eight” more years in the NBA.
“I don’t know what the future holds, but I would like to play basketball another seven or eight years,” he said. “And then I’m thinking about a wrestling career with the WWE.”

Just a month later, he stepped in the ring with WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page to learn what it takes to become a professional wrestler:
And then in September, Kanter stepped into the ring for the WWE 24/7 Championship prior to Monday Night Raw, where he unofficially became the very first NBA player to win a WWE title belt and lose it in the exact same day.

Needless to say, Kanter is ready for his post-basketball career in the ring.
Outside of WWE talk with Charania of Stadium, Kanter also discussed life in quarantine, his diet, the Turkish regime, his former Thunder team blowing a 3-1 lead to the Warriors, Russell Westbrook stories, and more.
