Eric Quigley Named Tennis All-American

by: asdfasdf06/01/11
Eric continues to add more trophies to his collection The UK men's tennis team saw their season come to a close two weekends ago against the defending champions (USC), but the accolades keep rolling in for our star junior.  Eric Quigley has been named an All-American by the ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association).  With his third All-American honor, Eric joins the elite echelon of tennis players in the university's history.  His 45 singles wins this season tied the school record, as well. This was a very successful for the entire team, capping with an Elite Eight run in the NCAA tournament.  The coach and team have very high hopes heading into Eric's last year in Lexington.  Eric reached a ranking of No. 2 in the nation at one point this season, and we hope to see him and the team break new ground next season by cracking the Final Four.  Could there be a professional career in the future for Eric after his collegiate one ends?  Also, because Eric hails from Oldham County, there is a slight chance he is the Beisner's offspring due to a wild and crazy prom night many moons ago. Congrats, Eric.
