Even with an arrest warrant DeMarcus Cousins will be inducted into the UK Hall of Fame

Bernstein | Getty Images[/caption] DeMarcus Cousins is dealing with multiple off the court issues, but the former Kentucky Wildcat will still receive his time in the spotlight Friday night in Lexington. On August 29 an arrest warrant for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge was issued to Cousins in Mobile, Al. This happened after audio of a man alleged to be Cousins was released where the man threatened to kill, Christy West, Cousins' ex-girlfriend. The day before the warrant was issued, Cousins underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL. The surgery has left him unable to travel to Mobile to respond. A UK spokesperson told LEX-18 that Cousins will still have the opportunity to speak at Friday night's induction ceremony. Unable to travel, his first public appearance since the incident will be in a prerecorded video. "This year's Hall of Fame induction ceremony will go on as planned," said a UK official. "All inductees have the option to accept their induction in person or with a video sent in to be shown in the ceremony. Cousins has decided to accept his Hall of Fame induction by sending a video, as many past inductees have done." Along with Cousins, Henri Junghanel (rifle), A'dia Mathies (women's basketball), Vic Nelson (cross country/track and field), Don Weber (cross country/track and field) and Andre' Woodson (football) will receive recognition Friday night.
