Video from the incident shows Cousins and several fans exchanging some middle fingers before the drinks begin to rain down on his head, which sets Cousins off. As he tried to angrily rush back out of the tunnel, he was pulled down to the ground by the people trying to quickly remove him from the court. Right before then, video captured Cousins getting into a heated conversation on the sideline with one fan, which led to Cousins being ejected and the subsequent drink-throwing.
It’s not pretty…
Cousins, 34, has been playing basketball outside of the United States since 2023. The four-time NBA All-Star has spent time in Puerto Rico, Taiwan, and Mongolia over the last couple of years. This is the former Kentucky Wildcats’ (2009-10) second stint with the Mets de Guaynabo. He is credited with having played 10 games so far this season, averaging 18.2 points, nine rebounds, and 4.7 assists per outing.
