Nasir Anderson has been hauling in high-major offers left and right since the contact period opened on Sunday, June 15. Kentucky has yet to officially extend a scholarship, but a relationship between the two sides is being built.

According to Jacob Polacheck of KSR+, the Wildcats are the latest school to reach out to the fast-rising four-star recruit. A 6-foot-1 point guard, Anderson has seen his stock soar with offers from the likes of Southern California, Louisville, Indiana, Kansas, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, and several others all coming within the last couple of days.

The Norcross (GA) product is considered the No. 40 overall prospect from the 2027 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Expect that rating to rise in the next update. Norcross High is the same school that produced former Wildcats Jodie Meeks and Brandon Boston Jr.

Since the start of June, Anderson has quickly made a name for himself in the recruiting world. Suiting up for Team USA in the 2025 FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup, which took place from June 2-8 in Mexico, Anderson was crowned the tournament MVP on his way to winning a gold medal for the Americans. Across six games played (all wins), the 15-year-old averaged 12.3 points, 6.8 assists, 3.5 steals, and 2.3 rebounds in just 18.5 minutes per outing while shooting 66.7 percent from the field.

Shortly after that, Anderson participated in the NBPA Top 100 Camp, where college coaches were allowed to be in attendance, and he was among the standout performers. On the adidas 3SSB circuit, the rising high school junior is averaging 18.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists a game for Game Elite. He’s shooting 57 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from three (8-of-14).

“Nasir Anderson (2027) is a problem at the point of attack,” On3’s Jamie Shaw wrote last week. “His consistent ability to create advantages at the most dangerous place on the court is very intriguing. He is a strong and physical lead guard who plays with excellent balance. The jump shot will need to continue growing but his explosive presence is difficult to ignore.”

Anderson is now the 16th known class of 2027 recruit to have heard from the Kentucky coaching staff since the contact period opened.
