Finally, Baseball!!! Cats-Cards on ESPNU

IMG_1730 Well, that was fun now wasn't it?  After a four-hour rain delay we are finally going to see some baseball tonight. In-case you forgot, the Cats got here by eliminating the Jayhawks, 8-6, to set up the Battle of the Bluegrass for the right to play in (host?) the Super Regionals.  The Cats will need to win both tonight and tomorrow to advance while the Cards will just need to win one of the two games as they are 2-0 on the weekend. The Cats will start freshman Logan Salow (2-3 5.40 ERA in one start and 22 appearances on the season). He earned the win in the games against the Cards in Lexington, working three and two thirds shut out innings in relief of starter Ryne Combs, allowing five hits and striking out three. The Cards will start freshman Josh Rodgers (2-3 with a 3.91 ERA in eight starts and 13 appearances). He earned the loss in both regular season games, allowing a combined eight runs in nine innings. Follow along here and on Twitter @DMulloyKSR Go Cats, Beat The Cards (again). Update (2nd inning): No score after two, but the Cards lead the Cats 1-0 in fans being told to "cool it." unnamed
