We now know exactly when the Kentucky football team will kick off the 2022 season.

On Sept. 3 the Wildcats will play beneath the lights at Kroger Field, opening against Miami (Oh.) at 7 pm ET. The late night kick will be a treat for fans looking for a reprieve from the heat in the stands. However, there’s a catch. The season-opener will exclusively be streamed on ESPN+ and SECN+. You have three months to figure out how to stream all of the action.

In week two Kentucky will travel to Gainesville to take on Florida at 7 pm ET on ESPN. The last time the Cats played the Gators under the lights at The Swamp, Kentucky left with a 27-16 victory.

Mark Stoops’ football team returns to Lexington in week three to play his hometown team. Kentucky vs. Youngstown State will kick off at Noon Sept. 17 on the SEC Network.

For those who would rather not read a paragraph and prefer bullet points, have at it:

  • Sept. 3: Kentucky vs. Miami (Oh.), 7 pm, ESPN+/SECN+
  • Sept. 10: Kentucky at Florida, 7 pm, ESPN
  • Sept. 17: Kentucky vs. Youngstown State, Noon, SECN

Only 100 more days until it’s Football Time in the Bluegrass.
