Five Reasons Why John Calipari Will Not Leave UK for the Knicks

1.  Brad Calipari is a Sophomore at UK When John Calipari's son Brad decided to walk-on to play for his Dad at Kentucky, Kentucky fans everywhere assumed Coach Cal would stay at Kentucky until his son graduated.  There's no reason to believe this has changed just because of one ESPN report. 2. Phil Jackson couldn't fix the Knicks Phil Jackson is the most successful NBA coach since Red Auerbach.  A winner of six titles between Michael Jordan's Bulls and the Kobe-Shaq Lakers, if anybody could fix the troubled NBA franchise, it's Phil, a former Knick and coaching extraordinaire.  Instead of making the Knicks better, the NBA's zen master made them worst.  If Phil can't do it, can Calipari?  Coach Cal loves a challenge, but describing the Knicks as a "challenge" is an understatement. 3. The Knicks are Reportedly "Not Interested" The Ian Begley report stated: "The Knicks do not have interest in Calipari at the moment."  If that doesn't quell your worries, I do not know what will. 4. The Knicks didn't Draft Monk Calipari was interviewed on the ESPN set during the draft.  It didn't take long for Cal to say he was surprised the Knicks didn't take Malik Monk with the eighth pick.  Instead they selected a Frenchman, Frank Ntilikina. 5. The Knicks are a Train Wreck There are endless examples of incompetence from throughout the season, most notably the franchise's public feud with Charles Oakley.  That was one huge mistake, but they can't even do the little things right.  Today their first round draft pick Frank Ntilikina reported for mini-camp, only to receive a practice jersey with his name misspelled.
