Fleetwood Mac, Kesha and punk rock: Georgia Amoore may have the best pregame playlist of all-time

Georgia Amoore had a legendary college career. An ACC Tournament title and a trip to the Final Four at Virginia Tech, tied Kentucky’s all-time single-game points record by scoring 43 against Oklahoma on the road, a two-time AP All-American, three-time all-conference — the list goes on and on.
Sure, you can give the credit to her hard work, her tireless dedication and the developmental abilities of Kenny Brooks, but how about… pregame music? Yes, music.
On Episode 35 of The Memorial Memo, Amoore’s former teammate at Virginia Tech and current Kentucky Program Assistant Taylor Soule talked to KSR about what she remembers about Amoore’s choice of pregame music.
“When people say that girl has the aux cord and she’s gonna play some good music — I would trust Georgia Amoore to play music the rest of my life because of her broad music taste,” Soule said.

So, who all does she listen to exactly? Well, it isn’t your typical pregame playlist, to say the least. “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac was her favorite pregame song at some point last season, if that tells you anything.
“It could be Kesha, it could be Chris Brown for some dancing, it might be a little punk rock,” Soule explained. “If it’s good music, she will listen to it. It really is just good music. Fun fact: I’ve never met someone who can hear a song and identify the song faster than Georgia Amoore.”
