This year Love is giving back to the program as UK's Director of Player Development. At the 2019 Kentucky football women's clinic, Mark Stoops revealed the former UK linebacker will fill the role left vacant by Freddie Maggard. Love will take the reins to lead the 4 for 40 program and other initiatives established by Maggard last season. Hailing from the hometown of Stoops, Vince Marrow and Steve Clinkscale, the Youngstown native transferred from Nebraska in 2015. As the Cats' starting middle linebacker and defensive captain in 2016 and 2017, he recorded 168 tackles, 4.5 for loss and two sacks. As good as he was on the field, he was an even better leader in the community. A member of the All-State Good Works team, he became Kentucky's first Wuerffel Trophy winner in 2017, given to college football’s top community servant. Last year Love served as a defensive graduate assistant. Kentucky's football players are in good hands with Courtney Love leading the team's Player Development program. [mobile_ad]
