"Patrick Towles showed a lot of tools and the commitment to refining them," George Whitfield Jr. tweeted late last night. As you know, Towles worked out with Whitfield last week at Whitfield Athletix, his specialized QB training academy in San Diego.
Other notable Whitfield trainees include Ben Roethlisberger, Donovan McNabb, Cam Newton, Andrew Luck and Johnny Football prior to this year's NFL Draft.
Patty Ice is putting up a fight for the starting job in Lexington this fall.
